Does anyone know why mine isnt flaming?Just had it installed and its sparking nicely but no flame. The electrode was facing up the exhaust so it was shielding the spark from the exhaust flow i have turned it round now so it is now facing the flow cant be bothered to go out again do you think it will make any difference?

tried that do they need to warm up or anything

redeye 22 November 2003 06:05 PM

no they dont need to heat up,not as far as im aware.i fitted mine myself,it sparked first time and flames shot out the end first time.
what exaust have you got iv heard some make bigger flames than others.
i have a tsl group a downpipe and 2.5 centre and 6/4 magnex.

fatmanscooby 22 November 2003 06:21 PM

Ive got a lovely spark dont know what the pipe is but its big and straight through but i think the downpipe still has a cat in.The pipe gets sooty quickly so i spose its rich at some time

redeye 22 November 2003 08:00 PM

get a decatted downpipe then youll be sorted.the cat will stop a lot of fuel getting through so you wont have any or much to burn.

Tiny 23 November 2003 10:44 AM

Mine still flamed with the downpipe still in place allthough the flames were blue:rolleyes:Since that it has been fully de-catted up & downpipes both changed, Now it is ''Great balls of fire!!''Found it best once it has been running for about 10mins
