Hello all

Running a MY93 WRX with quite a few mods, Has done 68,00 miles and sound sweet, no slap, rattles etc

I have a HKS ECV PRO boost unit fitted and have been told so many different ideas on boost level to set too, I thought i'd ask in here, cos better info than most garages :)

I am currently running about 1.1 bar pressure, this gets closer to 1.2 bar in 4th and 5th gear..

What do you run??
what do you reccomend???

Cheers

Rob

Fuelling, cooling and detonation are your limiting factors rather than an absolute recommended boost level.

Be carefull hear mate,I ran piggy back units on my 95 WRX and it went very well right up to when it went bang.I had apexi fuel and boost controllers had them mapped properly with lamda equipment but still dropped a piston. In hein sight i should have gone for a fully mapped ecu like link, gems or motec. They are expensive but so is a new engine,i am just speaking from experience hear and if i ever modify another car the first thing i will buy is an ecu. With the units i had i ran 1.2 bar boost but with decent management you could run more depending on your injector limits.

i run between 1.2 and 1.3 depending on required useage (at the moment its 1.1 bar as i had to fit a smaller turbo for a month or 2)
