Is this a good price for 215 45 r17 toyo proxes t1-s for a wrx this includes fitting balancing and valve and the dreaded VAT.

I ordered two Toyo T1-S Proxes last week in 215/40 ZR17 from www.mytyres.net for £74 each, including VAT and delivery.

so is £20 ontop of the tyre price bad for fitting and balancing ??

Depends where you go - some places get their ar5e out if asked to fit tyres they didn't supply. I would say £5-10 per wheel is fair for fitting and balancing, especially as it'll go straight in the fitters pocket.

Ordered two 225/40/18 Toyo's from www.mytyres.net arrived two weeks later but at £208 + £25 for fitting I am v. happy.

Bought four tyres for the Jeep as well over £200 cheaper than the rest !

Kingsway Tyres (Downham Mkt, I think) quoted me £85 for 215/40 R17, when I had a puncture up in Cambridge.
