In the bin unless you have studied all the implications, knowing where to put it is the easy part.

Aren't Bleed valves the crudest form of upping boost on a turbo?
not recommended at all in my book, especially on a scoob! Do it probably if you want more power. The engine will last longer also. |
As its been said, BIN IT!!

yes, bin it, it'll underfuel and you'll get a crap load of knock/detonation and start destroying things.
Reno 5's and the like dont even benefit from these despite the boy racers thinking otherwise, they just blame their engine rebuild on something else. These cars need LOTS of fuel and simply upping the boost and not changing the map etc will give you loads of torque straight away but kill your engine withing days/weeks/months depending on how far you went with it! Edited to explain as i'm sure the others would point out, that the bleed simply tricks the ECU and as far as its concerned you're still running standard boost, so guess what, it dumps in the fuel to be consistent with the standard boost, but in reality you've got loads of air (higher boost) and nowhere NEAR enough fuel! KABOOM! :( [Edited by UHF - 1/17/2004 1:08:18 PM] |
m8 get rid tryed it on my 95 wrecked the coil packs and they are £50 each and it could of been worse.i've since got a re-map and im over the moon cost £450 but money well spent.have to do things properly with scoobys.
