I'm looking for a complete exhaust system (with sports catalyst!). Which one do you
suggest and how much do they cost? (not too loud...)
I have back box and downpipe fitted (UK-MY98).
Comparison between complete exhaust system and back box&downpipe? (Is it
worth the money?)

If you've already got a backbox and d/p, why but another complete system?
Can't you just buy a mid-section and save some dosh?

Stef.

Hi Ric,

There are three options I can think of straight off the top:

1. Get ScoobySport to modify your mid section to removed the cat and resonators (cost=45GBP). This is good for around 10lb.ft of torque, but you'll need to get an OE mid section for MOTs. It's a simple matter to swap them over, I have been told.

2. Go to PE and get their sports-cat mid section. You're looking at over 400GBP including VAT and fitting, bit I would expect good results. I was going to do this, until I discovered how cheap option (1) is!

3. Get a Magnex mid-section with a removable cat. I don't know any more details about this option, other than the fact that it exists. I'm sure someone else will come along and fill in the blanks soon...

The PE Sports Cat Midsection works extremely well if you want gains and to keep it legal emmisions-wise.

Ric,
I agree with Stef.
I did some testing at PE of the difference that the mid-section makes, over the down-pipe & backbox (both from Scoobysport).
By cutting away the expansion box in the mid-section, to make it a straight through system you increase response and low end torque by quite a bit.
Cheapest way to do this, is yourself. Next cheapeast - go to Scoobysport & Pete will sort it out for under £50.

If you check out the dyno site below and search under Tim King, you will see the comparison.
