So then, how do you go about entering the Gumball rally? Myself and a couple of mates are thinking of doing so in a P1.

Goochie 13 November 2003 03:57 PM

darn!

The entry fee per vehicle based on two (2) persons in the vehicle is £8,000 GBP. Additional passengers and/or co-drivers pay a fee of £2,500 GBP per person. The entry fee for your vehicle and any additional fees for additional passengers and/or co-drivers are due and payable within 7 days of completion and submission of your Registration Document or 10 days prior to the commencement of the Event whichever is the earlier

bummer!

The third party and your own liability insurance policy must provide minimum cover of [£703,000 GBP] per person and [£2,109,000 GBP] per accident.

Form the Jackass and Ruby Wax shows on the Gumball I would have thought you need some serious Dollar!!! Lets see there is: Entering the "Rally", paying your way out of fines, in the States/Countries that are open to a little nudge nudge wink wink, the petrol money, they are normally about 3000 miles over a week end, I think, and then there is the small matter of purchasing every radar/laser detector under the sun, including radios from communication with the truckers and then possibly the ultimate expense coming if you I total it, cost in either a written off P1 or loss of life!

Sounds interesting I know, but bewarehttp://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/images/icons/icon4.gif!

Good Luck :D

A couple of guys from my work are doing it  £4,000 each is pricey!

pbee 13 November 2003 04:19 PM

check with your car insurer i would of though their maximum claims are much higher than that anyway, but good luck if you do have a accident as i would of thought ay insurance would be void if they deem it racing in the street.

suprabeast 13 November 2003 04:20 PM
