Possibly Kev + 1

Will confirm soon

Pete Croney 17 November 2003 04:34 PM

I am waiting for the sales director of Lakeside Karting to confirm prices, so can't give full details yet, but circuit details are at lakeside-karting

I have reserved the evening of the 11th December, for a buffet and then a race evening.

Keep the numbers coming as the more we have, the better the deal I can get.

Pete Croney 17 November 2003 04:47 PM

So excited that I posted it twice :D

Pete Croney 17 November 2003 05:28 PM

Just got a call back :)

Teams of two for a 1 hour endurance is £90 per team (£45 each person) in twin engine Pro Karts. This will be on the full 900m circuit, which is floodlit.

The buffet afterwards is £10.95 pp and includes free tea or coffee all night long.

They don't have a bar, but can bring in drinks for afterwards if we wish.

So to recap, its £55.95 per person and as we want to start racing at 8pm, we will need to be there at 7pm, to get dressed, briefed and have a practise session. Lakeside station is close for those coming out of London by train and I'm sure we can ferry these people to Brentwood, Chelmsford etc afterwards.

We need 24 to get exclusive use of the circuit. If we have less, other people will be racing with us.

Looking forward to it :)

spally 17 November 2003 05:41 PM

okay, i am not promising anything but i believe a friend of my brothers works @ lakeside. let me see if i can get it any cheeper.

LOL @ Dan, got my revs right that time;)

darkblueturbo 17 November 2003 07:20 PM

excuses, excuses, Mr. Spall... I was still trying to find 1st gear when the count started. PANIC!

Pete, I won't be getting to the Halfway House meet until quite late due to work, so I'll have to pass on the Karting I'm afraid as I won't make it in time :(

Nate 17 November 2003 07:27 PM

Corner !!!

Edited to add ..... If anyone working in the London area needs a lift back toward southend ... I can oblige.

Nate.

Phil 17 November 2003 08:51 PM

Also I may stand corrected that if people want to they can have 3 in a team thus reducing the costs

But perhaps Pete Can confirm

thecirsch 17 November 2003 08:57 PM

I'm gonna try to get the night off, but it ain't looking good :(

Nate, which route will you be taking home?????????????? ;)

Phil 17 November 2003 09:03 PM

Fingers crossed Ed

Pete Croney 18 November 2003 08:04 AM

Phil's right, you can have three in a team, making the karting part £30 a head.
