Hello I am looking at getting an Xreg bugeye wagon (in green) totally standard, but its got 36K miles and the garage wants £13K its got no tracker...what do you think i should offer as its a bit above book, but i really want a WRX wagon.

12K sounds like you'd get a bargain so if you really want the car and its the colour you want etc etc spose its the going rate ;)

buts its a garage do you recon they would reduce at 13K car by 1K for a sale...its een on autotrader for about 1 month....

Cash purchase..so better be a good deal...i can wait...but seems a good deal just parkers says its should be about 12K

When I bought my MY99 last year they did reduce the screen price by about a grand , but shafted me on my PX . I would say haggle hard because there's not many people walking around wanting to spend 12-13k on motors this close to Christmas , does the dealer want to sit with it until Jan/Feb ?

Pete, i would certainly go with the attitude 12K and you have a deal.

At very least you should have tracker fitted and 1 year subscription for free ;) if your'e gonna give 13k

Yeah i agree,hagle for about 12k,But dealers wont even touch parkers price guides mate,Whatever price guide you mention(parkers,cap,glasses) they will find someother price guide to lay on you,But right time for it mate just before xmas,Happy barterin mate.....................
