Hi All,

A friend is organising a team based event at the Daytona Raceway to celebrate his birthday, and is short on numbers by a few people.

In order to make the minimum number for the booking we are looking for a couple of drivers to form a scratch team (six or so required). I don't really think there is too much of an upper limit on numbers, so the more the merrier (and the cheaper I think)....

As usual for these events, team skill is highly variable so you'll either be spared any blushes, or praised for your god-like control depending on where you are in the skill spectrum!.

There is also a decent restaurant on site from 6:30pm onwards - an important plus when justifying it to your better halves.

If you are interested, you can contact me for more info via email, or book your place directly at the website below. You might add a note to tell Paul where you got the invitation from.

Moving up...

Still a couple of places left.

Ta.

Anyone else thinking about this?

I might give it a go - but is the birthday boy OK about this? Just feel like I'd be gatecrashing.

Any others interested??

Dear All,

I've just talked to Paul (the organiser). There is absolutely no problem with turning up despite not having met him, so don't be put off. His Birthday was last month anyway, so no card or present is required. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

If anyone is interested, just give Paul a call on 020 7228 8051 to let him know you will be coming. I know there are at least two places still to be filled to make the minimum 24, so he'll be pleased to hear from you http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif.
If there are more than 24 drivers, then that is also fine, but Paul may have to juggle the teams.

Hope to see some of you there.

Regards,

Alex

James, I'm going with two of my mates, but the more Scooby drivers the better! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I organised a go-karting event for my 21st and it was a complete nightmare getting everyone to turn up. In the end we had 43 drivers http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif and it lasted four hours http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif but people were dropping out and joining up on the morning of the race!! I imagine he'll be glad to get anyone along to fill the spaces that he's booked, otherwise he'll be seriously out of pocket.

OK - I'm up for it. Barring any disasters I'll be there http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Regards
James
