Using the TomTom Navigator software, you have host of features (see their website for more details) The advantage of this system above normal SatNav systems (such as those found as standard equipment) is that it’s portable, so you can take it from car to car, as well as removing it entirely when parked. Not only that, but because it is PDA based, you get all the functionality of a PDA into the bargain! It comes with the CheckPOInt speed camera software which works in a similar fashion to Road Angel and Snooper GPS based systems. This little lot cost me over £600 about 6 months ago. I’m looking for offers over £300 – drop me an email: the.gza@virgin.nospam.net (remove the .nospam bit) Reason for sale is that I’m no longer doing the mileage I was, therefore the SatNav and Speed Camera detection facility is not a useful as it was, plus moving house means I could be doing with the spare cash! Spent a lot of time (and money!) getting this combination right - it's a fantastic setup and very versatile. Also, there's a review of the LeadTek GPS receiver here Receives a superb 100% rating! I've used In-Car SatNav from a number of manufacturers (Mercedes, Audi and Peugeot) and this simply blows them out of the water! Review of the Arkon CM429 in car mount heretoo. Mods - would prefer local sale to fellow ScoobyNetter, hence please leave it in here for a bit! |
