Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
I go into the garage to switch on the heater (as i'm going to have a tinker with scooby)....When I find the the switch to the freezer is OFF  Open the (chest) freezer and it's full of defrosted food :( there is still some ice in there but the food at the top is defrosted, so god knows what it's like at the bottom. How it got turned off? I dunno. But the 'ol lady is on holiday and I have a frezer full of defrosted food. How am I going to explain this? :( |
Power cut??
You should be insured on your home contents. Worth a call to them, might get it sorted b4 wife's back? cheers simon |
An accident?
My home insurance covers me for up to £300 of food in the freezer, so check your contents cover. |
i did exactly the same thing to my old dear, cutting her grass whilst she was on holiday, forgot to plug the freezer back in after using the socket for the lawnmower, i greeted her by saying "good holiday hope youre hungry" :D

did this in the summer- my insurance sent a cheque out within days (ps- if you claim more than you lost you are scum...not you, just anyone!)

Tiggs - or really hungry :D

Acidentally switched off :(
Just got back from clearing the thing out...4 bin bags of food  Ahh, well slap up meal for me with what I saved: 2 1/2lb aberdean angus beefburgers, half a bag of chips, some de-frosted veg, and a rather nice looking whole Toffee pecan brulee cheesecake :D The garage is going to stink tomorrow cos I can't leave the food outside overnight cos of the multitude of cats and foxes |
Ours was broken for weeks before we noticed. It had been full of fish. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm......
