These are the fuel rails I have been machining. One slight alteration since the photo's were taken, they are now 16mm (8 from each end) shorter due to the flowed 90degree fittings i got not being quite compact enough to fit past the turbo. I will take some pictures with the fittings in. Also I am in the middle of making a distribution block (I don't think T-pieces flowed the fuel well enough). The distribution block will also house the standard pressure regulator, the reason i have made it to house a standard regulator is that physically they are exactly the same dimensions as a Nismo reg, which are very good regulators.

Those look excellent!!
Do you intend to market them?
If so how much and are they phase 1 or 2 replacements?

Cube.

Cheers.
If people are intersted then yes i will make some more.
Price would be £200 for a pair of rails including fittings, and £50 for a distrbution block including fittings. (I could also make a distribution block without fittings for a nismo/standard reg, if people wanted to run a stand alone).
These are made for phase 2, but I don't know what differences a phase 1 inlet manifold has?

If anyone is interested, the bore joining the 2 injector buckets is increased from 12mm diameter to 15.5, The undercut diameter within the bucket is up from 26mm diameter to 28mm, the chamfering in the bottom of the bucket has been lowered 1.5mm all this adds up to a 28% increase in capacity. Also the ends have been tapped M18x1.5 (this will also hold a bit more fuel but i haven't calculated how much).
Fittings consist off M18 - 3/8 BSP male to male, then a 3/8 BSP compact 90 degree fittings. My distribution block is set up to feed the rails in parallel, and i could make one without fittings for a pressure regulator if people want to run an FSE or other stand alone.

Nice Job M8 :D

STi M'8 12 November 2003 09:53 PM

Excellent job :o

Are you already manufacturing some extra ones or is this "on demand" ?
I might ask you for a pair if they fit MY2000 manifold, without distribution block.

they will fit any Phase 2 car, and can be made to fit phase 1 easily.. although Im sure for an extra 50 quid or so he can machine up the same for phase 1.. (unless its cnc ;))

looks like i will be taking a walk upto machine shop mark, nice job, i wonder why we cant get any ef2000 jobs ;)

Cord 15 November 2003 12:04 PM

STI M8: I have made 2 sets, so give us a shout if you want some.

I haven't ever seen a phase 1 inlet manifold in the flesh but if it's only minor differences I can soon modify the programme.

Andy: Pop up and have a look if you like.

David_Wallis 15 November 2003 12:08 PM

I want CNC. :(

Here's a few more pictures including one of fitting a set to an STI6 inlet manifold that I had to modify slightly to get clearance. Which was strange as the set I have fitted to my 99uk and an STI5 went on without any need to modify.

hey, nice fittings

Cord 17 November 2003 09:02 PM

Mr GTR: Glad you like the fittings, I can sell you some if you like. £1000 pounds each to you, it would be cheaper but my supplier ripped me off!!!!!!!!! ;D
