Am I right in thinking that if you run your scoob totally on super unleaded and then switch to reg unleaded the ECU will reduce BOOOOOOOOST!due to the lower octane? and if you switch switch back to super the ECU will not reset itself to the previous boost level? If so,how do I get it reset? How much does it cost? and how much difference in boost pressure will it make?.....Any comments please...Chris.

please please please do a search !
I've lost count of the number of times we've covered this http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif |
I think a lot of people are getting cheesed of with this question.
I have a MY98 and I get the same boost 18lbs max and hold 16-17lbs Whenever I have super in the car. I have also put the car on the rolling road with super, then filled with normal and run for a few days then refilled with super back on the rolling road and got the same results. I have never reset the ECU. I notice the differance between the fuels when driving the car hard. I now only use super. Bob |
Sorry folks!!!but ive only been with scoob for two months so im still a relative dummy!!

Had a chat with Ian Cook today about this. You are not alone !
Perhaps getting the archives cut onto the CD will help. Wasnt moaning, its just that people wont bother replying when they have done before..so a search will yield you better results. |
I've only been using this excellent site for a few weeks now and i'm suprised that people are replying to say they are fed up of seeing the same question being asked, now then these people bother to reply to a question but they dont put an answer just a "cheesed off" message, not all but most do.
Anyway I use NUL, cos its cheaper. |
