Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what TS type R means , on a Legacy?
Are there any big differences that might affect insurance etc.?
Cant wait to get on the road!!!!!! soon , I think.

TS Type R is just a normal Legacy with 2.0 SOHC engine.
Dunno abt insurance, but shouldn't be too expensive considering the engine fitted.

Thanks Clarence,
That makes sense, I suppose. I have just had it imported from Japan, on recommendation from my buyer, but have no real info on it. Very low miles, very good condition , so I hope insurance is not too bad. Had a 1.8DL before this one, and that was cheap to insure. Still watin for it to be SVA'd etc.
Lookin forward to gettin on the road again.
Cheers,
Thanks for your help

According to my spec list the TS type R is a DOHC NA, pre mid-life it was 150ps/18.5kg-m. Tyres same as later version, but missed out on everything listed below. Well, it did have the same tyres ;)

Post mid life (June 1996): 155ps, 19kg-m. Has an LSD in the back, sporty suspension settings, ABS, the pasenger side airbag was an option IIRC, while the driver got one std. 195/60-15s boots.

HTH

Sorry, yes, got mixed up with the TX (2.0 SOHC).
TS-R, in BH5 form, also have 155ps. Wheels are 205/50R16.
