What is taken in terms of engine work and money in order to take any Impreza up to 400BHP?
In terms of Cosworths u can make it with a T35, low comps, larger intercooler, uprated box/clutch, cams, bigger injectors with a mapped chip. So what r we talkin with a Scooby? Is there a BHP limit or reliablibilty issue above a certain BHP? What about engine managment etc? My reason for asking is that u rarly hear of such highly powere Imprezas but many Cosworth owners have modded to this level. Im new to anything Impreza related and am jus interested, Thanx. |
I think that www.tdi-plc.com can help you with that. They claimed smth around 600hp at the crank for my friend's Scoob. However, I don't believe that, but definetely over 400.

Im over 400bhp..
I dont have a dyno print out yet.. Im doing some miles first as people care about reliability these days :rolleyes: Cost?? circa 10 - 20k if you assume brakes suspension fuel pump, injectors ecu, turbo.. depends on how you achieve the 400 too.. ie an easy 400 or stressed 400.. a td05/06 hybrid turbo from andy or mark would provide that.. but pistons and rods might decide not to.. speak to www.lateralperformance.co.uk.. www.hdcsubaru.com, ,roger clarke, g-force, tsl, scoobymania, scoobysport, scoobyclinic, xtreme scoobys .. make some notes and once youve done that decide a budget and which way you want to go and stick with it.. |
