Okey dokey the time has come to learn what my Scooby Doo can doo!

Where's a good place to get some practical driving skills, I'm in Leicester so somewhere localish would be nice but not essential.

Be nice to learn how to put my car through it's paces and manage it safely ;)

You could try the Prodrive Live Course.

"Prodrivelive Performance Road and Track course
A full day designed to improve your skills in handling high performance cars. Half the day is spent on advanced driver training on the road and half a day on the high speed circuit and skid pan.

Or I can recommend Don Plamer... http://www.donpalmer.co.uk

These guy's have a good reputation.. http://www.ridedrive.co.uk/index2.htm

Andy, been doing similar stuff myself. Check your local yellow pages, and see if you can find an advanced driving instructor in your area. I've been out twice now with a guy who used to drive for prodrive, and he gave me some very valuable pointers on my driving.
I've also been on track recently here at curborough and will definatly be doing that again, as the thread says, you can really push your car without "much" fear of trashing it!
The next thing to do is a welsh rally day.
Also, just going out for lots of drives kinda helps, and is the most fun part of owning a scooby in the first place.
chris.

When looking for an advanced driving instructor anyone know what qualifications I should be looking for e.g. I found some that say Diamond Advanced

Institute of Advanced Motorists web site is at www.iam.org.uk.

I passed my Advanced driving test last December - well worth the effort.
