I've just plonked some Turbo (2 pot) calipers and brakes on my Sport to replace the dire single pot std units. I've bled them several times and am suffering with a spongy pedal.....help?

You have put the calipers on the right way , bleed nipples at the top of the calipers not the bottom ? if you have them upside down you wont bleed them..

nope, definately at the top....would the master cylinder not be up to the job with the different calipers?

have you bled thro' the entire system (front & rear!) or just tried bleeding the fronts?? this would have an impact on the pedal.......bleed the rears a well

cheers, have bled the rears too!!! Do I have to have the engine running as I'm doing it? I found that I could get the pedal really hard when the ABS wasn't running (engine off) but as soon as I started it the pedal went soft.....

should be ok without power on.......what sequence are you doing them in?? remember to bleed in pairs (O/S/F - N/S/R & N/S/F - O/S/R).....
the reason you have a harder pedal with the engine off is normal as you have no servo assistance........

OK, what I have been doing is n/s/r then o/s/r then n/s/f and o/s/f....is that wrong...?

could well be..........as above, what you have is a "linked" system in two pairs!! bleed in the opposing way and see if that helps.......
the other thing it could be is you may notice a slightly poorer pedal due to the slight increase in piston area......
