Has anyone had trouble the the batteries on the STIs,had to have scooby assist out last nite as she would n't start with 11.36v in the battery!!!!!!

I have an MY03 WRX which I left for over two weeks in the summer and it started first time and I haven't had any problems... But it appears others have.
I read on a thread that somebody sugested driving with the side lights on to give the alternator something to charge against (It doesn't charge unless it detects it needs it !)
I always have my heater fan on position 1 so maybe that is why I haven't had problems - Who knows !!!!
