[rantON]
We don't seem to have a bonfire "night" anymore. ok, the nearest Saturday to 5th November is exceptable but around here we get fireworks throughout most of November. There's a house near me which has had 100s of the damn things gone off for the last week. Last night went on up until after 11pm - presumably because it was th 5th Nov (Bonfire "Climax" Night). Now I have no kids but the poor neighbours who do have them must be really pee'd off. Anyone else out there live near people who work for "a firework factory"? [rantOFF] I feel better now. Thank you :)) [Edited by skoobidude - 11/6/2003 6:36:37 PM] |
Same situation where we live although not as unlucky as my friend who has had people throwing lit fire works into his garden most nights this month!

Gets a bit boring after a bit. Takes the magic out of Nov 5th I think. Bit like putting Xmas lights up at the beginning of November!!!!

Its been going on for weeks. Usually local yobs let them off till about 8pm, then older locals start again after pubs shut - "I know, we are drunk so lets let off some fireworks when we get home".
Should be banned except for proffesional displays. Too easy to get hold of these days. Luckily my kids sleep through anything. |
