Go to BRDevelopments and have them fit a Link ECU for you.

It'd be a good idea to get the breathing mods done at the same time (induction kit, exhaust).

Thanks mate, its got a cone style air filter on already. Whats the best exhaust to get? Is it best to remove the cat?

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

You're welcome mate!

There's no "best" exhaust...it's more up to you which sound you prefer.

The most common one from HKS and Scoobysport has a sharpish rasp to it, scoobymanias system is a lot deeper...Blitz sounds a bit "hollow"...get out there on a meet and ask around if you can get samples. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

It'll set you back anywhere from 400 to 8-900 squid.

Most systems are made to fit with the stock parts (downpipe, midsection and backbox) so you can mix'n'match.

The most important thing is to get a proper downpipe, and to remove the cats (can be a pain come MOT time).

The Link will set you back somewhere in the £1200 region.

Thanks again mate, there is a meet on the island on the 20th of this month, 22ish cars will be coming down so can speak to them and see what exhausts they have.

This ecu what power gains will i get?
What extra power will i get from the change of exhaust, complete removing cats?

A catless exhaust will give you minor gains...BUT together with upped boost (sorted ignition and fuelling at the same time is *imperative*) on the remapped ECU things will start to get cooking.
Don't expect "Cossie" figures though, scooby lumps seem a bit harder to get high figures out of.

Check the dynopage on the links up top on the scoobynet page for some relative numbers.

My car started off with 218 ponies, now with a catless exhaust, bigger turbo and a Link it's done quarter mile times comparable with cars around 300 hp...go figure.

I'm aking to get it dynoed...one day... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
