Alright WUZ, sounds good. Are you in business with Infinity? Also can you do the dash mounted LEDs for the knocklink?

I've been in contact with Wallace Performance who are opening up their new business in Aberdeen on Monday (12th Nov). They are the new agents for Ecutek in Scotland. They said they can sort me out for my requirements with the re-map.

Edited to say that I found one of Kendos threads about you guys at BHP Developments HERE and I am well inpressed with the look of that. Give me a PM WUZ with a quote for installing similar. Cheers

Can anyone please tell me if there is anywhere in Scotland that will carry out a re-map. I am putting a Scoobysport downpipe and BLitz Nur Spec R system on my P1 so I think a re-map would be better for the car.

I would be prepared to travel down to the North of England if necessary.

Anywhere?

Falkland performance in perth do ECUTEK I believe.

sg72 05 November 2003 10:15 AM

No they don't.

They've only Detadash monitoring.

Don't think you would need to worry to much about a remap at this level of Mods.

ECU should be able to adjust itself at this point.

sg72 05 November 2003 10:19 AM

Mean't to say Check Air filter as well.

You may want an ITG or Green panel.

To Breathe easier.

RB5-Black 05 November 2003 10:21 AM

Falkland performance are in Glenrothes !! :D

T-uk 05 November 2003 10:57 AM

chances are a P1 with decat will det:eek: ,optimax and NF booster might control it.

first mod should be a knocklink IMO.

T-uk 05 November 2003 11:03 AM

also worth mentioning that the UK unichip distributor , is opening up in dalgety bay fife with a full 4x4 rolling road

not sure how the system works but given that the standard ecu is used, delta dash should still work meaning that you can still have routine checks for safety.

sg72 05 November 2003 11:24 AM

Agree. Knocklink a must have.

fonzy 05 November 2003 06:28 PM

kev
wallace performance will be doing ecutek in a couple of weeks. www.wallaceperformance.co.uk They're at bridge o don

halowrx 05 November 2003 07:03 PM

Is det common if u have a de-cat ?

wooosh 06 November 2003 06:53 AM

Cheers Fonz, hows freedom? I bought the exhaust through your mate Brian Downie and will be getting it fitted a week tommorrow(at Kemnay. Where exactly is his garage?

I did hear that there was somewhere opening up in Aberdeen but thats it, should be good if they are offering the engine tuning service for the scooby.

fonzy 06 November 2003 10:29 AM

kev if you have a look at briandowniecarsales.co.uk I thinks its in there.
Whens your MOT due? Cause you'll need the standard downepipe put back on to pass.

wooosh 06 November 2003 10:59 AM

Getting my MOT on the Thursday and then de-catting on the Friday. Sorted!!

LG John 06 November 2003 12:16 PM

Not on classic UK's but the P1's are known to be problematic when de-catted.

jasetheace 06 November 2003 09:31 PM

Re-map is a must..i had de-cat scooby with blitz zoost on my P1 and the engine let go...got her fixed (4g's later) fitted a knock link and she was lighting up like a christmas tree...!!
Got a re-map done with john banks..(who i gather no longer does this) and now she is running 100%....
P.S. i got a spare knock link thats 4 sale.. ;)

wooosh 07 November 2003 07:05 AM

Cheers Jase, how much are you looking for your knocklink? Are they easy to fit, and do you have the instructions with it?

Also how much revs were you doing when your engine let go?

Cheers

WUZ 07 November 2003 12:27 PM

woosh, we can fit the K/Link for you if needed as we have done several of them now and one or two have been modified to fit on the A-pillars (mail Kendo who is on here regularly and ask him what he thinks or the one we did for him!)

Rusell

RB5_245 07 November 2003 12:52 PM

Wuz, are you guys doing Ecutek re-maps?

Also can you do the bumpsteer removal?

jasetheace 09 November 2003 10:21 PM

mmm.not sure if i still have the instructions anymore...its yours for £100...i was doing about 6000 rpm when she let go.....at 90mph on a private road ...!!
