It was a friend of a work colleague in mate's car...
He was passing a car which was indicating left and then turned right, so he had to swerve and lost it in the heavy rain. There wasn't actually all that much damage, but it sounds like it looked quite amusing. The car whose car it was turned up and pi$$ed himself laughing.
Edited to say he says he wasn't doing more than 30 - probably proven by the lack of any real damage.

One of the most shocking sites I have ever seen - New age Scoob 6ft in the air on someone wall, not too far from Edgware road. Cops had just arrived on the scene.

Hope you are ok mate :(

PS - how did it happen?

Hi AKSHY, How did that happen??

akshay67 04 November 2003 09:19 AM

Easy Nov!

I have no idea.

Basically, the two nearside wheels were on top of the 6ft wall and the two offside wheels were on the ground (this was on Portland Terrace I think). Another nearby wall had been knocked over. I can only imagine that the car was doing some silly speed and quite literally went flying. It was a wake up call for me and I drove back very cautiously on the A40 despite being baited by a BMW...

To be honest mate, it looked like a work of art (being a posh area I thought some rich person had done it on purpose, I like new patio) - It was mounted so perfectly and the fact that I saw no damage to the car made it look like a crane had put it there. I was gonna stop and see what happend but it was p155ing it down and there didn't seem to be anyone around...Never overestimate an AWD...and I doubt I'll be letting my mates drive my car again!

Well you could at least have taken a photo for Members Gallery, or Was It You! :D

Congratulations on your 1000th post...I was actually going to take a photo as I carry my digital camera in the car (and one on phone). At the time I thought if someone had been seriously injured may be a bit inappropriate to do that - plus can't imagine cops being too happy.

Eitherway, I wish I did now. It makes the 'Scooby in a Lake' look very dull...Hmmm SOAW (Scooby On A Wall?).

Mungo did your mate get pictures? They have to be seen to be believed.
