Scooby nutz!

I'm in desparate search for a turbo'd chariot that will scare me and after driving both a '96 wrx and an 01 Turbo I think these are the best laugh's. I personally think scooby's are butt ugly but after driving one I've never had such a grin on me chops!

The short of it is that I've got 10K to spend but only want to spend 5-7K on the car, the rest on power mods.

Where's the best place to find a pukka scooby?

There's quite a few in the for sale section.

Check this one for example!

:D

Ahem... :) I think you'll find this one is in exactly the right price range for you!

It's a blank canvas ready for modding, with a lower mileage engine than usual for the price so it should take a few extra bhp OK. Just been out in it tonight (poor thing was lonely being left in the garage) and driving it back-to-back with my new WRX bugeye the difference in response was quite something. Sure will miss it!

Steve

PS. As you're new here, I'll explain what I mean - the MY97 really does kick sand in the face of my MY01. But the MY01 is so much more refined - which is what I'm looking for now I'm old :D

Mines is for sale :) MY99, 4-door, d-blue-met, full subaru service history, 56k miles, recently serviced and now standard again having been decatted and teked. I'm looking for offers between £8500-9000 which would leave you plenty to get her back up to 280bhp. If you want to break the 300hp barrier on any MY99/00 you are looking at a replacement turbo which is quite an investment.

SB, did you see which car I linked? ;)

LG John 04 November 2003 12:19 PM

Doh, didn't think to look - cheers :)

I've got a 97 R reg turbo wagon for sale. UK car , 58000 miles, FSSH, air con, metallic green with gold alloys. if your interested email me on r4mmy@hotmail.com

Remember to bear in mind that you might actually get a decently tuned one for the higher end of your limit and get more mods for your english pound than if you bought them all new and had them fitted :D

Pukka Power 04 November 2003 09:42 PM

Jesus peeps, Ta for the info. Not to keen on the wagons to be honest. Not too desparate at the mo so may just sit back and watch the trader for a WRX that already been refined..........for the right price of course ;-)

petes555 05 November 2003 08:38 PM

Why a WRX ?

How about a lovely MY95 STi 555 for 8k ?

Standard 275 bhp so no turbo changing, only 500 saloons produced ( 100 Wagons but your not interested in them )
Tracker and CAT 1 , other than that its unmolested ;)

Take a Look

Check out the Meet pics as there is one there that still has its stickers ( was quoted £500 to put them back )

OW and Riverdalecars.com has one with stickers for £10495 !!!!
