Which is the best wrench to remove the oil filter from a MY03 WRX
Tried a chain wrench but it was useless. I have seen a spanner type wrench at halfords for £8.99 will this do the trick?

Cheers

Wrench?

I normally use my hand with a rubber glove on, which becomes a nice bag to put the old one in.

I have used a chain style wrench in the past no problems, or if you're desperate, hammer a screwdriver right through.

So long as it was not over tightened in the first place, the "webbing straps" are also very easy to use, tend to find the chain wraps dig in too deeply and almost cut the filter in half.
Dont forget to wear gloves as used engine oil contains "cancerous" agents which may cause skin problems, so dont get used engine oil on your skin if at all possible. No, I'm not being silly, its true, ask a skin specialist.
