In the office today, we (ex-pats) were talking about some throat pastilles/sweets which come in quite a small tin, are very small and black, are hard, and taste of a mix of aniseed and licorice and burn a little bit when you eat them. Tiny little things they are, like tiny hard black cylinders (or mice droppings as one of us said).

For the life of us, we cannot remember the name of them and it's driving us nuts!!!

Searches on Google have turned up no result but we all know which pastilles we mean.

Do YOU know what they are called? If so, put us out of our misery and give us the name of them!

One of the girls in the office brought back Altoids with her from Liverpool today, but those were white, and a different shape, and bigger but maybe there are more than one variety of Altoids.

Imps was the closest we could get to on the web but one of the guys swears they start with a "J" (but the jury is still out on that one).
