Well, it's finally happened.... neighbour (with a zillion kids in the back!) reverses here A class into the back of my Scoob! Bust light plus some bodywork damage. Perfectly drivable but needs some TLC.

So, recommendations for a good bodyshop near Reading, Berkshire? I'll be calling the dealers around here for estimates but anyone know anyone else?

Oh, UK saloon not an import.

Cheers

Dave

Tileys of Bristol resprayed my turbo following an idiot scratching the bonnet, wing and door. Car was only two weeks old. Cost was £250, oh and they sprayed my helmet as well.

Sorry it's miles away from you, but thought it was worth a mention for the Southwest people.

They sprayed your helmet? Now that's devotion to your car...

Speak to your insurers (assuming you're with a friendly bunch) and they may let you know of an approved body shop in the area which is a tad cheaper/better/... than your Subaru dealer.

If it's just small scratches, which it sounds like it isn't, I'd use ChipsAway.

Bristol isn't a million miles away - had a job interview there on Friday so it may soon be a lot closer....

Oh, what did the missus think of you spraying your 'helmet'... ? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Hope she liked the choice of colour...

I must point out I mean my motor bike helmet, that I use for driving events, etc. Shiny Mica Red.

My wife thinks I'm a D$%khead anyway, so I wouldn't trust what she says!!

I do love my car, even though it isn't really mine (company car)

hutton_d, Hope you get the job mate. Bristol is a lovely city to live in.

No doubt you'll be calling them anyway, but I'd recommend Lancaster Pangbourne's bodyshop - made an excellent job of fixing my pride 'n' joy after I t-boned Mrs Blind when she pulled out in front of me. Car looked better than it did the day I picked it up new.

Lancaster Pangbourne will do a good job but they are extremely expensive if you happen to wish to pay for any work other than using the insurance.
ALEXANDERS Wessex Rd, Bourne End, nr Maidenhead will also do an extremely good job. They specialise in Subaru, Mitsubishi and Alfa Romeo and are far cheaper. One to remember as it's not far from Reading. Their number is 01628 850000
