Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help.
Got a Turbo 2000 '98 with group A gas flowed scoobysports exhaust and quickshifter.
This doesn't happen all the time but isn't fun.
From around 90mph upwards when accelerating hard sometimes I lose all power for a moment (seriously freaks me out) and then it comes straight back.
I've heard people saying things about the wastegate actuator (sorry if that ain't the right name for it) reading incorrectly then causing overboost making the ecu cut the power to restore normal pressure.
Is there a sure way of finding out if this is the problem and whats the best way to solve the prob?
Thanks in advance.

Tom.

You would need to find out what boost pressure you are getting first. Then you can find out best way to solve the problem. Could be as simple as running lower grade fuel, especially if only happening since weather got colder and damper, increasing the air ratio into the engine anyway. Otherwise, may need the boost control restrictor taking up a size to lessen the boost pressure.

Righty.
Lookin' to get a Blitz Dual DC turbo timer ,got a boost gauge on it so hopefully that should help out.

Thanks for the info.
