Bought a phone off Ebay and the covers could do with replacing. Nokia original is £18, much cheaper covers look from photos the same without the words Nokia on. Are they any good? Suggested suppliers? Sorry for such a bling bling question ;)

It is an 8310.

This wont be much help but my son says that some are some are not
he suggests trying before buy as quality varies

I got an unbranded one from Dixons and it sucked big-time. Some keys wouldn't work.
So I'd guess that as stated above some are good and some ain't.

they split.....

garbage....

put it this way- my cheapo 7210 cover lasted a week before splitting where the color sections join... my nokia proper jobby has lasted 9 months and is still fine despite being dropped once or twice...

you will also find the color scrathes off imitation ones very easily and some of the buttons are hard to push

Don't buy a chrome one, they cut the signal strength in half...

Have bought a claimed genuine unused one off ebay for £8

I am new to Ebay, phone was described as hardly used and mint - it is actually far more scuffed than my 2 year old battered 7110! I have emailed the seller suggesting he might like to do something, but I think negative feedback is in order otherwise. Comments?

had an imitation one and it was pants. Colouring chipped off, keypad cocked up...not worth it imho

Could be worse, you might be getting the wrong batteries ...

Genuine Nokia is the ones to go for,but sometimes you can be stung with fake 'genuine' covers and they are total cr@p!

If they are cheap, they are normally rubbish!

In Disguise 23 October 2003 07:17 PM

Only buy genuine Nokia covers m8:D, cheapo imatations are crap, they reduce the signal on ur fone,as said earlier some keys don't work properly or fit correctly:(.
