I am thinking of buying somewheels and m+s tyres for my 98 uk turbo wagon. (the missus takes the kids in the car too !)
I realise I need a 5/100 p.c.d. and an offset of <45mm but what size of wheel and winter tyre do you recommend ? I am currently running 215/40 - 17's Any advice gratefully appreciated Thanks Steve edited to add summer size [Edited by big500 - 10/22/2003 11:05:15 PM] |
Toyo produce a specific winter tyre called the Snoprox.
they come in 205/45 17 which is the size I'll be running in winter and currently have 215/40 17 on my summer wheels:D Toyo |
For Insurance purposes have you got written confirmation from Subaru that an HR rated winter tyre is within spec.
I have been looking at these but I thought we would need a VR rated tyre. Eddie |
SR <113 MPH , HR <130 MPH VR>130 MPH Didnt know they would effect my insurance bit I dont intend doing over 130 MPH in the snow anyway. Just want the safety factor that the wife has a decent chance of getting home with the kids if the white stuff comes down :)
