Hi
Sorry for this being here did'nt quite fit suspension or brakes section. A few years ago i was going to slightly lower an R19 16V but was told the ABS would need to be recalibrated as the loading would be different, anyways whilst nosing around a couple of website i saw leda do a height adjustable in 24 points IIRC which got me thinking about the loading thing. So basically im now confused (now theres a new one eh) was i being bill bulled or if not why can leda do something like that. Thanks in advance Simon |

Simon,
As far as I can recall, the need to recalibrate an ABS system after the car was lowered only applied to the (somewhat crude, but cheap!) Lucas Girling mechanical style ABS systems that were fitted to some cars in the past - most notably lower end Fords. These systems (I think they were named SCS - Stop Control System) used a belt and valve arrangement, and it was the valve that needed recalibration due presumably to changes in the tension of the belt. Electronic based ABS systems, like the ones fitted to Scoob, should be unaffected by lowering. Find a brief note on the need to recalibrate these systems here: |

Now at this point, you really need to cut to one of those dark alley scenes you used to get in Captain Scarlet where the Mysteron(?) circles used to move across the screen. Some how I have a feeling that Simon will know exactly what I'm talking about http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
