Hi, anyone out there with an auto?. What on earth is the little push button in front of the gear lever for????????????
Thanks, Steve |
so you can shift without the engine on, press it in and it releases the locking mechanism for the gearleaver.
|
I am so embaressed!. My Mistsubishi had the same, I completley
forgot. Cheers. |
So you don't mean the "power" mode button which keeps the engine in the middle and top of the rev range more.
|
No, the 'power' button is on the side of the gearshift
lever. I have tried the front button out, and it is the override for the interlock. However, I have just noticed another (rocker) switch behind the gear lever which turns on a little light on the dash that says 'MANUAL'. I assume that this holds it in low gear?. If so it seems a bit pointless, as you could just move the gear lever to 3 or 2. If any one has an insight into this one I'd be interested. (PS I am waiting for a Jap spec handbook to arrive !) Thanks, Steve. |
i tink thats the power button ... it shifts gear up if placed in...sorta making the revs go high in each gear ! ... and if its out it will just drive normal
|
They have an ice and frost function. Mine lights up Hold With a snow flake. This starts the car in second gear and reaches forth as soon as possible, to avoid wheel spin. Kickdown and power both do not work when this is engaded.
Hope this helps. |
