Just had my first year body service performed at the dealer - £120 + VAT BLOODY HELL!!

They never told me about that when i bought the car. If VW can offer 12 years with no inspection, why do Subaru have to re-wax years 1, 3 and 5?

Bloody hell, thats expensive. Perhaps you shouldnt own the car if you cant afford to run it or buy a VW?

My car is going in for 15k ( I've had it for 13months from new ) next week -- my dealer haven't even mentioned re-sealing. Should I mention it do you think ?

cheers

Mines being done next week along with 15k service. Quoted £54 inc VAT by Dealer.

Ricco, it should be done within 30 days either side of the anniversary.

Mine's in tomorrow.
Hope it's not that much - she'll go mad!

Seems 120 is the top of the range then. I'll remember that for year 3.

Oh, and thanks for the typically useful comment Sunil.

Ah yes,the body service....seems to be a nice little earner this...If you get it done....my dealer said...special offer sir with the service it'll cost £60....so I thought ok......car came back with what I thought was a very patchy job...some areas that the book says should be done were missed, and best of all overspray on wheel arch protectors wasn't oversparay because none of the gunk got inside the wheel arches at all,(just there for show perhaps, you know visable so car looks like it's been done) and best of all the car was damaged while the job was being done.Ok, they re-did the treatment and fixed damage after I protested, but if they want it done so warranty is validated, surley the dealers should carry out a competent job as described in the warranty document....and not damage your vehicle in the process.....

Totally unimpressed....
