Help Please. Recently on my 93 legacy turbo the engine warning light has taken a while to go off.
Last night it didn't go off at all, for a short jouney of about 3 miles.
I came to start the car this morning but couldn't get any revs and it just kept cutting out, I also noticed what looked like white smoke from the exhaust. It seems like an ignition relay has possibly gone wrong to me.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so any suggestions as to what it might be.

Thankyou Ashley

I'd not drive it anymore and get it checked by a dealer.

Mate! Good choice in car! I've got a '91 Legacy RS and had a similar sounding problem a wee while back. "Check Engine" light stayed on, car wouldn't rev over 3 grand without severe cutting out and misfiring. Subaru mechanic traced it to a faulty ignition relay. Once replaced, SWEET AS A NUT! and never a hitch since.

Good luck, hope that's all it is.....
