The fuel pump on my 94 WRX stopped working, once I had taken it out I managed to get it going again. Running of a seperate battery charger. However when its put back in the car it will run OK on the battery charger, but does not seem to have enough pressure on the cars own electrics. The electrical connection checks out OK, but I am not sure where the relay is to check this. Has anyone had the same type of problem or knows where the relay is.

How good is the fuel pumps earthing connection? It may have corroded beyond being able to carry the required current. You may need to re-earth it, if this is the problem. It may also be a problem with your alarm/immobiliser system, check this is ok.

Thanks, but at the moment pump is definatley US. Will replace first and then check all other connections.

I had a similar problem. Turned out the wire was corroded and not the relay/fusebox as first feared. Check the wiring is my advice before buying anything new...
