Does anybody know whether it is possible to obtain the Jap climate control kit for a MY99 Impreza. I begrudge having to pay £1550 for inferior UK air conditioning (on/off control only!!)

HELLO,

Tony, go for the available kit in the
U.K.(I know it is expensive) but I got the same unit in my car -MY99- (I live in the middle east-Kuwait) where the temp- is in the high 40's and that is in degrees Celsius

and will rise further come July.
This A/C unit is very effective...period.

SO it should be more than enough for handling
the worst U.K. Summer.

OH by the way my Scoob is a euro spec car
the only difference is that it is a LHD model

GOOD LUCK

Aziz,

I'm amazed that the standard a/c can handle kuwaiti summer temperatures. Mine can barely cope with humid London summers.

p.s. do you work in the oil industy ?

Oli.

My independant has just bought an air con repenishment piece of kit and from what you say it sounds like you need more gas in your system! I had a look at his legacy which he had just filled up a few days before and ice was coming out of the vents! Output temp from the vents was -3/4C, he had gone a bit over the top, it should be about +4C, check it out and get a top up if req'd
