If your car is new, you should check back with your dealer about the wind noise.

Bye the way, typing in CAPS is considered to be like shouting in internet-land.

Erm....isn't this the one where you wind the window up fully with the door open, and then close the door. Creates a better seal as the motors aren't up to the job of pushing the window far enough into the rubber seal with the door closed.

This works for me.

I have the same issue but learnt to live with it, if I don't have to - someone pray tell.

MY97 drivers door/window also prodcues excess wind noise above 60. Been to the dealers three times and had the rubber seal changed. Still no better! Unless anyone can state another fix, I am learning to live with it.

May or may not be helpful but suggest that excessive wind noise can be reduced by avoiding Mushy peas and baked beans.

Well thanks for the advice on typing in CAPS on the internet, but i was not aware of the severity of the offence mentioned above, and after a pie and pea supper i agree that the wind noise is worse but it disapears when i wind the window down. Robert.

I had this problem with the o/s front door seal. Lancaster or Sevenoaks could find no problem so I grabbed a salesman and took him out in it. There was no noise until I lowered and wound up the window. From this point the noise was very intrusive. Lancaster changed the door window seal and since then all has been ok.

Lets just say the excess wind noise is REALLY loud hence deafening!

I currently have the same problem as cberry had, the rubber just above the driver's door mirror triangle isn't compressed enough when I wind up the windows with the door closed and get wind coming in over 60 mph.

Will get it looked at at next service. For now I just wind up the window with the door closed then open and close the door. Cures it every time.

Ive tried something else that seems to make a difference a mate of mine who has a calibra turbo has the same problem so he told me to make a split in rubber seal at just below wing mirror height with a stanley blade and push up the centre of the seal a strip of soft foam with a welding rod or knitting needle i used a old seat base and used a strip approx 13" by 3/4" square and eased it up the seal once in place a few dots of super glue to close the cut i made and it now is 95% better hope this is of any use Rob.
