Subtitled (What goes around comes around).

The other day, the missus reverses her Ka into the security post which is in front of my Scoob. Result, a lovely dent and hole in the rear bumper of her Ka. Naturally I'm sympathetic, commenting only briefly on women drivers, lack of concentration, the odd blond remark, etc, etc. :D

This afternoon I decide to take the kids out (wifey at work). I buckle the little darlings in and then, completely forgetting to lower the security post, off we go.......Crunch.

So I guess I've learned a leeson there and I wait eagerly for the return of my wife and her empathy.

Anyhow, do any of you know of a decent body shop in the Essex area? And do you think they'll do a two for one deal?
Yours humbly and embarassedly,
Blobster:(

I had an Escort rear end mine at a set of lights.I was recommended 2 body shops. The first Prestige Bodyworks in Stock Rd, Southend. The other was Supreme Bodyworks in Wickford. All I can say is that both came highly recommended from this site;)

Mine is booked into Prestige tomorrow as the guy Darcy is so passionate about what he does and genuinely cares about the car. I'm supposed to get my car back end of the week, so I'll let you know what I think...if you can wait that long.

I know of two cars repaired by Supreme ...... And you wouldn't be able to tell they have been repaired.

You are a spanner!
My wife managed to reverse over a post on the LAWN! she gets out wondering what the crunch was and finds her rear bumper has hooked over the post just high enough to get stuck behind the bumper (at this point the vehicle was pretty much undamaged). So female logic kicks in - gets back in 1st gear foot down and completely rips the back bumper off the car!
Hope your repairs not too bad its annoying we have to take these inconvenient security measures.

They do some good ones don't they (the women that is). ;)

My partner borrowed my 5 series Alpina (before I had the scoob).

Goes to start it up in the car port, it's in gear and she doesn't depress the clutch. It lunges foraward approximately 6 feet, hits the car port wall, knocks over a full sized red fire extinguisher setting it off.

Damage extends to front lower bumper wrecked, panel damage to the front wing, bumper, and sill.

I came down to find the car port doors wide open, and an empty fire extinguisher on the floor!

Damage inspected on her return resulted in a quote for nearly £1k.
She only blamed ME for having left the car in gear.......

She even admits (afterwards) that she just left the fire extinguisher spinning away in the car port and drove off! She said she thought I wouldn't notice!!!!!!

Mike.
