For the Japanese Import see section 2.1.1 Japanese Production Runs in :

http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm

Power is given in PS which a metric bhp IIRC, works out slightly more 280PS = 276bhp ;).

For MY01 owards IIRC the JDM WRX were 250PS and the STI were 280PS

UK turbos :

1994-1998 208bhp
1999-2002 215bhp
2003 223bhp

The WRX name was only used in the UK for the MY01 model owwards

UK P1 were 276bhp as were the 22B Type UK.

What Is the bhp differance between the wrx imports and wrx uk models ?

chrisp 05 October 2003 05:13 PM

what years ?

Depends

a) What model year you're talking about
b) Where the "import" concerned came from
c) What grade of petrol they used to produce their stated power.

In general terms, European market cars have the same power and torque levels as UK cars. Japanese market cars tend to be a little higher powered, MY for MY and spec for spec, but they're mapped for 100-102 RON fuel and won't reliably replicate this performance on UK fuel unless octane boosters are used.

my for my .
