Is it me being grumpy - which it is probably but shouldn't this thread be in the general section?

Does anyone know what's happened to the BBC coverage of the World Rally Championship?
Cheers Pete

Can't remember exactly why they stopped it, but I read recently (I think in Autosport) that the Beeb are working to bring it back before the end of this season.

Get Europsport though - it's, er, great (actually, it's a shambles, but at least they do show the WRC, albeit at seemingly random times; highlights from Spain were shown yesterday incidentally).

I emailed Eurosport twice about their coverage of the Swedish annd African rallies. On the last day highlight programs they announced who had won at the beginning of the program and then tried to keep you excited about who may catch who during it!
Needless to say they never replied.
I was wondering when the Spanish rally was going to be covered - I notice it is on Monday morning as well (Eurosport).
Come on BBC - time for some coverage.

The TV production team responsible for the coverage lost the contract at the beginning of the year, and the filming is currently being done by the guys that do F1 on a rally to rally basis. Saw today on Eurosport that there will be a live stage shown next Sunday(2pm) from Corsica.
From the in-car shot of Burns it looks like the Subaru now has the paddle gear change fitted to the steering wheel.
Does Pete do one of those yet - I'm first in the queue.

Robbie,
You're absolutely right I put it in the wrong bit by mistake! Won't let it happen again.

Don't forget

Eurosport Friday ( 21:30 )
Saturday ( 20:00 )
Sunday ( 14:00 ) Live final stage - points awarded.

Check the times but that's how I remember them.

Good news. Ceefax this morning said that the BBC had signed a deal for WRC coverage again. They'll do "reports" on the remaining eight rounds, plus "live coverage" of the RofGB.
