Poor u! be prepared for some grief from people with blue lights on their cars!!!
Only had my scooby for 2 months, and 2 my knowledge there isn't anything actually in Inverness, but there has been stuff going on if ur prepared to drive a bit away from Inverness.
Been 2 a track day (but not on track), a 1/4 mile day and going to a motor show this weekend all in that 2 months!

Ah but if more folk get interested we could organise some meets, we're not that far away

snz93wrx 02 October 2003 09:29 PM

yes we can do.all i need to do now is find some where to live around inverness

Carlos The Jackel 02 October 2003 09:46 PM

Good luck with the house hunting - you will need it!

There are no Gatso's (yet) some planned. They use mobile cameras (far worse than gatsos as they bloody move them about). A Few traffic cars too - a Volvo T5 is the most famous.

i have been looking for some land(self build) for about a year now but always been to late so i am going to rent up there to give me a better chance of finding some land.

see u all next year

So much going on - where are the 1/4 mile runs etc - I've had my green MY98 Turbo Sportswagon for 3.5 months now and he's called Lucifer - S64 LCF - what else and could really do with getting to know where the Scooby meets are.

Been in the Inverness area for 15 years now and oh boy the blue lights - invested in one of those things recently that the local bobbies don't like - and it seems to be going off all the time - mind you am on the A9 most of the time.

Anybody see the recent SIDC article on one of my favorite work runs. The right foot is itchin but think a run over the West in October would be great for a convoy of Scoobs - whose up for a run to Ullapool - fast across the top - and then a quick potter down to Gairloch and Kinlochewe - finally have a bite in the Applecross Hotel and back to the 'sneck - late evening.

Let me know what you all think ?

Mike

Yeah should be up for that as long as i get all my new goodies on

Just keep an eye out, I have been up and down from Ullapool a couple of times of late. I noticed that almost every layby on the good bit of the road from Garve on up has some nice VASCAR lines painted nearby.

I also noticed a LOT of bikes on the road with the front at Ullapool looking like a bike show. Aways likely to attract the attentions of HM Photographic Tax Collectors.

In saying that, in view of the nature of the really good bit of that road and the fact that most trouble makers are likely to come from Dingwall, a bit of scouting, a few well placed lookouts and use of the mobile phone could prove very effective in ensuring a good day out for a group.

It has the potential to be such a good fast road that it also has the potential for a ticket for 130 in a 60. In the current climate of oppression you could go to prison for that.

Red Admiral - do you have anything to do with the spool base ?

Cheers,

N :)

Red Admiral 05 October 2003 01:36 PM

Spool base

Red Admiral 05 October 2003 01:40 PM

Hedgehog - yep your right about the VASCAR markings but never seen a police man yet - as for 130 in a 60 - yup its good for that too !! Especially the lumperty bumperty bit after Loch Glascarnoch.

Whar date do you peeps think I am stuffed w/e 18/10, 25/10 and 01/11 - school holibags and Ross County are playing St Johnstone on the 18th at home.

MCGARY 05 October 2003 03:07 PM

There are plenty of scoobys in the area and would be a great idea to get a meet going and the last one fell through due to most of the guys working. I have never seen your car going aboot Red Admiral. I live 3 miles from Evanton i suppose your local is the novar arms?

madmoog 06 October 2003 10:59 PM

Trouble makers from Dingwall??!!

MISS SCOOBY STI 09 October 2003 01:14 AM

Re "Red Admiral"
1/4 was @ Crail, track day @ Knockhill. Crail was fab cos 1st time on strip. My clutch may not have loved it...but I did!!!
How well does ur wee "device" work - is it worth while? So many on market, not sure which is best considering we have so may mobile cam's. Lazy b@#tards even clocked me once driving past p.station - too lazy to even show themselves & be out in the cold!!!
