james, which tool in PS did you use to increase certain parts of the image?

jameswrx 01 October 2003 06:04 PM

Done them in Microsoft photo editor, it was using the deforming tool, you can choose to shrink or enlarge and choose the target area and centre of target to enlarge, crude, but effective:D

Just going to look for a nice Victorian couple to place in the background of the last pic;)

you could house a family of somali`s up that pipe LMAO :)

LB4 01 October 2003 06:50 PM

Must be bloody heavy wheels though ... look how its made the car sink into your drive!!!

Kippax 01 October 2003 07:22 PM

i'll say. looks like the artwork from that dude who exaggerates the size of the wheels etc. you can cartoon the image in PS aswell, that would look cool.

Jameswrx that looks awesome. Have just got photoshop and want to be doing this kind of stuff for a laugh myself.
How do you do all this? i don't even know what half of the icons do!!
Have you got any info on how to use photoshop like a true proffesh?

err.. No :D

It's certainly no professional work mate, there are some guys on here who can do some 'proper' photoshop work.

My advice.. just play until you find different things that work, then string them all together:D

It's all very easy to get something looking like the pictures above.

IT WRX FOR ME 02 October 2003 07:39 PM

ok mate.Theres just so much on there. One thing you can help me with though is how do you introduce the big spoilers and wheels to a picture you want to play with?

jameswrx 02 October 2003 07:58 PM

I use Paintshop for stuff like that, so not sure if it's the same.

But..

Usually have the image to be 'enhanced' and the 'donor' images open. Then it's a case of using the selection tool to select the part of the image(wheels etc) you want to add, then copying and pasting on the image(as new layer) you want to add parts to.

One of my favourite features is when you do window tints. You can select, the windows, cut them out paste them as a new layer, then fill the area left on the background in black, then replace the windows where they were, then you can adjust their transparancy, when you make them more see through you get more of the background (black), and you can adjust the transparancy to provide anything from normal window to blacked out, with all the shades between.

For lowering.. Also same selection, copy, cut, and paste(as new layer) can be done for the whole body of the car minus the wheels. You can then move the layer you have created(car body) and lower the car onto the wheels. Then use the cloning tool to clone and fill the immediate background where you have moved the car from etc.

Bit hard to explain really
