Does anyone know the exact model of the sigma alarm fitted to the MY99 cars and if there are any upgrades available it?(i.e.total closure or self arming)

Hi David,
I asked the same question of my dealer and he told me it was a Sigma M30.

You probably already realise this but there are a number of optional features that can be switched on via the keypad. The dealer should have passed an instruction manual to you. There is also a sort of auto arming feature. Such that if you unlock the car with the remote but don't open a door within a preset time, the car re-locks the doors.

My dealer arranged fitment of the very same Sigma M30 to my 97MY.

It has the auto-rearm feature enabled, it's for cases where your kids or someone accidentally disarm and unlock the car; if no doors are touched it relocks and re-arms after 15 seconds or so. The manual also mentions the auto-arm (not re-arm) feature, I don't think mine has that enabled, but the immobiliser cuts in after about 10 seconds of no ignition. I also used the pin keypad to set the auto-lock feature which locks all doors when the ignition is on as I often drive into London.

I went for the optional total-closure for the windows, which bumped the installation from 420 to 520 UKP. Still it's a really handy feature, I expect any dealer could arrange retro-fitment of this module for a 99MY.

regards,
Rob.
