Okay, I 've used the search button and got confused.

I have a MY03 WRX and love the car, but HATE the non existant exhaust note! Haven't yet got to the stage where I feel I NEED the PPP, but really need a nicer sounding back box to release that 'burble'...so...what do I get?

I know about the warranty issue, but will the fitting of a different BB affect the ECU/engine set-up in any negative way?

Not bothered about an increase in performance yet, just the best sounding/looking pipe...sad, I know, but the car needs it.

Thanks Guys/Gals.

Not sad at all, just normal :D

Magnex is cheap and nice sounding but not too loud, I had one and loved it.
Some of them are so loud that they will make your ears bleed, and your nose too when you wake up your neighbours every morning ;)

Not sure about the warranty though.

I'd have a chat with your dealer regarding the warrenty, some I've been told view the BB change as a cosmetic, so you should get away with it.

I've asked the same question for a STI8 and again I've been told a BB change should not affect the engine.

As for which one to get I've looked at afew and if you like it loud (I do!) then I've been thinking along the lines of a Afterburner by scoobyworld or a Firestorm bt TSL. :D:D:D

BTW I'm going for the Firestorm ;)

Good Luck Dave

I have the super drager full decat system and it sounds beautiful. Not too loud as to arouse the police immediately but loud enough to get annoying on long journeys :D That coupled with a new airfilter set me back about £1200.

Thanx Lads,

Beginning to think it'll be the afterburner at the mo...

As i didn't care about performance increase, i got one made up at a local exhaust place. Sounds nice, and cost £150. You get to choose what style pipe you want too. I went for 4.5inch slash-cut.
