Ive connected a 2nd tv to my SKY digibox but the guy in the shop i bought my coaxial cable from said i needed to access the "secret" installation menu and turn ON the RF POWER SUPPLY.
Its working without doing this but is there any benefits in turning it on anyway? |
Thanx jason, although i know how to access the "secret" menu and turn ON the RF POWER SUPPLY. I just wanted to know why i need to as im gettin the sky picture on the 2nd tv.
Is there a reason he told me to do it im not seeing? |
Had this on my system when the second link mysteriously disapeared, was told to access the menu, and turn it to on and then it came back, i think you only need to do it if the link isnt working

You don't need a IR sender with Sky.
You just need a Sky Digilink - it is a mouse-shaped IR-receiver which plugs between the co-ax of 2nd tv and 2nd aerial socket. About £15. This is what the RF2 enable is for - it puts 9V onto the co-ax cable for powering this device and for sending back the remote commands. Turning this RF2 output on and off will NOT affect the picture whether you have a digilink or not. [Edited by imlach - 9/27/2003 9:56:04 PM] |
