recently purchased a chip for my car and i need to know how to fit the fuel-cut defencer since the wiring is different between this years model and last years.

I wouldn't risk using this chip, as the MY99 cars have a completely different ECU to previous years. I would take ths chip back to the place where you got it from, and wait until a MY99 specific chip is available.

i bought the chip in the states from HKS. They claim that it is built for the MY99, but at present they don't have any instillation instructions.

Did you get the chip here in Israel or you brought it from outside the country?
The Superchip for the MY98 is a popular modification and it seems to work well on the MY99 car too, even that reliability is unknown.

Get some clarifications from HKS USA if I were you as I do know that there is no Impreza turbo imported to the US.Unless your car is a non turbo Impreza,then ignore this message.
