MY97 has developed a grinding/ squeeling noise from rear of car.only noticable at slow speeds.garage suggested new pads all round would cure - no joy. does this car have a small drum set-up for the handbrake?
or could it be a bearing? ( 55k)

ARFUR. your car will have handbrake shoes behind the brake disc remove the caliper and disc to expose the two brake shoes,sounds more like this is the problem more than a wheel bearing.peter.
