Thanks naz

The points covered in your last answer are precisely the point I was hoping to extend.
The scenarios you refer to are exactly the type covered in great depth during the months of training I undertook while being brought up to the required standard while doing my Advanced Driving Training with my IAM observer.

Cow around the corner Etc.
You are correct, "awareness is linked to experience, but there is something more".

Professional training; this covers not only in the seat ability, this only comes with practice, the foundation of which is the ideology, thought and anticipatory skills which are the fundamental starting point for becoming an advaced driver.

Primarily, working to established and recognised theory and correct execution of what, only with tuition and practice eventually are recognisable as skills. Trained and understood, not just practiced/gambled.

Dead right about the bike as well, yet again the risk assesment in practice, assess limits/possibilities then ride within them.

Let me know when you're heading for Matlock again I'll meet up with you and let you buy me a coffee if convenient. Or see Events section and meet up at Donnington track day maybe.
