Is Orange the only network in the UK that does this? (We are have a few problems with these guys)

Would GPRS be a viable alternative?

Ta muchly

AFAIK, nO range are the only UK network to offer HSCSD. GPRS is only suitable if you are happy with the limitations of an IP based network. GPRS tends to have high ping times and of course no guaranteed delivery times. You may be able to overcome these issues if you can make use of buffering or batch delivery of your data.

HSCSD is currently the only way to go if you need real-time data (such as broadcast audio).

Thanks for that.

We only use it for peeps dialling into to our server to send/receive sometimes quite large emails
