Is there going to be a vid of this run put up? Had a quick look on the website but they're still stating the record as 9.98@141mph which appears to have been comfortably beaten!!

Great result, what gearbox was the car running and what basic engine spec?

Trout 22 September 2003 10:24 AM

Awesome results - according to the 'calculators' this equates to at least 750bhp...

...at the wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are also rumours that they have had 1100bhp at the flywheel - wonders if this is the same engine!

They do like the Nitrous out there :D

555mac 23 September 2003 11:47 AM

There is a rumour alleging 200 nos and 2 engines 1 for qualifying 1 for the main event. Car is 4wd auto on slicks, well stripped no seats etc lexan windows, turbo is mounted in front of left hand cam pulleys on custom exhaust "obviously" and engine rad is where the top mount intercooler would normally reside.engine horsepower must be similar to his old white car as terminals are about the same.It looked almost boring, plenty revs lights change engine ramps up car leaves the line and seems almost to keep the same rate of accelaration for the duration of the run you should have been there to see the 3 rotors insane. Rob mac.

Andy.F 23 September 2003 06:29 PM

650 flywheel bhp by my calcs :)
