I own a MY03 WRX (EC spec - not bug eye) with PPP, and I wanted to know if there is a cat in the up-pipe?

Only 100% answers please.

If you need to be 100% certain, why don't you just lift the bonnet and have a look?

TARManiAC 21 September 2003 09:47 PM

You wise guys destroy a good forum like Scoobynet. "Lift the bonnet and have a look". Would you give the same answer if some of the hot names on here asked something?. Didnīt think so.

No the MY03 WRX does not have a cat in the up-pipe.

Golden Oldie 21 September 2003 10:10 PM

Hmm - I honestly thought it did!

A good thread title often helps, not to mention posting in the correct forum. Something like "Help needed with Cats in up pipe" posted in the Drivetrain section would have got the required answer in seconds :)

Because LizardKing asked for 100% answer only... i think that is why Greasemonkey said have a look under the bonet if you require 100% answer...

IMO its impossible to be one hundred percent sure without having a look... therefore i think it be dificult for anyone to give a 100% answer in drivetrain section too...

By the way i don't know the answer to the question... :D

10x TARManIAC for your answer.

but I wanted to be sure again.

According to ScoobySport there is no cat in the up-pipe. but I live in Israel and I don't know if they sell here the same car as in the U.K. We have the same model here like in Germany and other europe countries except U.k (I'ts also EC spec).

Do you have an answer for this question.

Lizardking, for the want of sounding like a scratched record, if you need to be 100% certain, and are unsure whether your car differs from the regular Euro/UK spec, just look for yourself. It'll take you all of two minutes - a lot less time, in other words, than this thread has taken you.

As has been stated, the UK/Euro/Jap spec MY03's don't have it, but if you want to pay one of us to nip over to Israel, look at your car and give you the "100%" answer you want, I'm up for a free holiday. :)

Tarmaniac - I hardly think I was being unreasonable, and it makes s*d all difference to me who asks a question like that, the answer would have been the same.
